How Should Oven-Roasted Carrots Be Cut?

  • Carrots should be washed and the stem end should be trimmed off. When you roast carrots, you may keep the skin on them.
  • If the diameter of the carrots is rather great, you should cut them in half lengthwise.

If all of the carrots will not fit in a single layer, place half on a second baking sheet coated with parchment paper and bake in the upper and lower thirds of the oven; if the carrots are congested, they will steam rather than roast.
