Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter cold, cut into pieces
  • ½ cup half/half
  • ½ vanilla bean scraped
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 egg

FOR GLAZE:

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ vanilla bean scraped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Lightly grease a flat rimmed baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and sugar. With a pastry cutter (or two knives) cut butter into flour mixture until pieces are about pea size.
  • Mix in egg, half/half, vanilla and vanilla bean. Mix until dough forms.
  • On a floured surface, shape dough into a circular shape. Cut into 8 wedges.
  • Place wedges on prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake 10-12 minutes
  • Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth and drizzle/frost on scones.
