Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Lightly grease a flat rimmed baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and sugar. With a pastry cutter (or two knives) cut butter into flour mixture until pieces are about pea size.
Mix in egg, half/half, vanilla and vanilla bean. Mix until dough forms.
On a floured surface, shape dough into a circular shape. Cut into 8 wedges.
Place wedges on prepared baking sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes
Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth and drizzle/frost on scones.
