Ingredients
  

FOR DOUGHNUTS:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 ½ cups apple cider
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ cups brown sugar

FOR TOPPING:

  • ½ cup 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Spray doughnut pan with non stick cooking spray.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine egg, melted butter, brown sugar,apple cider, and vanilla. Add in flour mixture slowly. Combine well. Your batter will be thick.
  • Spoon into doughnut pan
  • For mini doughnuts: bake 5-7 minutes or light brown.
  • For regular size doughnuts:  bake 7-9 minutes or light brown

FOR TOPPING:

  • In a bowl, mix together sugar and ground cinnamon.
  • Coat warm doughnuts with melted butter, then, coat with cinnamon sugar mixture.
