Ingredients

  • 1 (9-inch) graham cracker crust
  • 8 ounces of cream cheese softened
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweeten condensed milk
  • ½ cup key lime juice
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Cream the cream cheese in a large mixing bowl until light and creamy.
  • Mix in the condensed milk until thoroughly blended.
  • Mix in the key lime juice, eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until thoroughly blended.
  • Spread the mixture evenly over the graham cracker shell.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes in a preheated oven.
  • Before serving, allow the pie to cool fully.

Notes

  • Nutty Key Lime Pie. Follow the standard preparation method, but sprinkle the filling with a quarter cup of finely chopped macadamia nuts or roasted almonds. For textural contrast, sprinkle with roasted nuts.
  • Chocolate-Drizzled Key Lime Pie. Follow the directions to a T, but before chilling, sprinkle melted dark chocolate over the top.
  • Dessert Of Key Lime Cream Pie. The graham cracker crust is swapped out for a conventional pastry crust, and the heavy cream topping is whipped to stiff peaks in a stand mixer for an appealing creaminess.
  • Coconut-Lime Pie. Make the filling by combining shredded coconut with a pre-made graham cracker crust. Sprinkle with toasted coconut and squeeze some lime juice on top.
  • Key Lime Meringue Pie. Just put a meringue topping over the classic recipe. Whip egg whites until they form firm peaks, then gently fold in the 1/4 cup of confectioners’ sugar. Spread over the pie and bake for 12 minutes at 350F.
  • Key Lime Pie Bars. The graham cracker crust can be used to line a 9×13-inch pan instead of a pie plate. Bake for 20 minutes after the filling has been poured on the crust. Once they have cooled, cut them into bars and serve.
  • Key Lime Pie Cheesecake. Prepare the recipe as directed, except spread a layer of melted cream cheese in the bottom of the crust before adding the filling. Prepare as directed; top each serving with a dollop of whipped topping before serving.
