Pioneer Woman Beef And Broccoli

Pioneer Woman Beef And Broccoli

Erin Table for Seven
In today’s recipe, we’ll see how to make this Pioneer Woman Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry in just 15 minutes. Way better than anything you’d get at a restaurant! The fact that this beef and broccoli is easy to make is also one of its best features. It only needs one head of broccoli and a cheap cut of beef, like a flank steak. The rest of the ingredients are probably already in your kitchen.

Ingredients

Sauce

  • ½ cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger minced
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce or to taste
  • ½ cup beef or chicken broth low or no sodium

Beef and Broccoli

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound flank steak trimmed of fat and sliced thin against the grain
  • 1 head broccoli cut into small florets

Instructions

  • Whisk together the soy sauce, cornstarch, garlic, white vinegar, honey, ginger, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, Sriracha sauce, and beef broth in a medium bowl. Set aside until ready to use.
  • Using a large skillet, heat the olive oil and cook the steak until it begins to brown about 4 to 5 minutes. Add the sauce and stir to combine, it should thicken immediately.
  • Then, add broccoli and cook for 2 minutes more, until broccoli is tender and sauce is thick.
  • Finally, serve your Beef And Broccoli over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • Flap steak should be sliced very thinly for this dish. Because I sometimes have trouble slicing steak, I usually put it in the freezer for 30 minutes before attempting to do so.
  • The meat can be frozen to make slicing it easier.
  • If flank steak is not available, substitute sirloin, skirt steak, or New York strip.
  • Beef and broccoli can be served with any of these three grains: rice, noodles, or quinoa. Cauliflower rice is another option for those watching their carb intake.
