Ingredients

  • cup soy sauce
  • cup lemon juice
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • pinch of red pepper
  • 1 ½ pound steaks I used rib eye, New York is also great
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • fresh chopped parsley to garnish

Instructions

  • Mix soy sauce, lemon juice, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, pepper, salt, and a pinch of red pepper in a small bowl.
  • Place steaks in a resealable bag or large bowl, pour the marinade over them. Let it marinate for 2 hours or overnight.
  • Heat a skillet on high. Add steaks, cook each side for 3 minutes until browned.
  • Reduce heat to medium-high and cook to your desired doneness, around 10 minutes, flipping 3 times for medium-well.
  • Finish by topping with butter and garnishing with fresh parsley if you like.

Notes

  • To make sure the steaks are marinating evenly, turn them in the bowl or bag a few times.
  • Leave the steaks marinating in the fridge overnight for a fuller taste.
  • For more consistent cooking, let the steaks sit at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes before grilling.
  • To get the most flavorful and juicy steaks, let them rest for a few minutes after cooking. This will allow the liquids to redistribute.
