Slow Cooker Lemon Chicken

Such a flavorful lemon chicken! Side it up with rice or egg noodles for an easy dinner
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb boneless chicken breast (about 3-4 breasts) cut into slices
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 envelope .7 or .8 oz dry Italian dressing mix
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt 2 TBSP butter.
- Salt/pepper chicken, then, coat pieces in flour.
- Add in hot skillet with melted butter. Be sure not to overcrowd the pan.
- Cooking the chicken in two separate batches works best. Use the remaining 2 TBSP butter for the second batch of chicken pieces.
- Do not cook the chicken completely. Just cook each side for about 5 minutes to brown.
- Add browned chicken into crock pot.
- Pour remaining ingredients over chicken (lemon juice, dressing mix, broth).
- Cover and cook on high for 3 hours
Notes
- cooking time includes browning of chicken
