🍝 How To Make Gordon Ramsay Meatballs And Spaghetti

  1. Put the bread pieces and 2/3 cup of water in a bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes. Then, use a fork to mash it.
  2. Put 1 pound of ground beef, 1 pound of sausage, 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese, 4 minced garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 egg, and mashed bread crumbs in a big bowl. Pour in the milk. Mix everything well.
  3. Shape the meat into 1 1/2″ balls, which are about the size of an ice cream scoop. Roll the meatballs in flour and shake off the extra. Put about 3 tablespoons of oil in a deep, big, heavy pan or Dutch oven and heat it over medium-low heat.
  4. In two batches, add the meatballs to the pan so they don’t crowd it. Cook until all sides are cooked, which should take about 6 minutes total or 2 minutes per side.
  5. Take the meatballs out and set them away. At this point, you don’t need to worry about cooking them all the way through.

Easy Marinara Sauce:

  1. Put the chopped onion in the same pan over medium-low heat. If more oil is needed, add it and stir it around a lot until it turns soft and yellow, about 5 minutes. It will smell good after a minute or two of stirring in 4 crushed garlic cloves.
  2. Add two crushed tomato cans and two bay leaves and mix them in. Heat until it just starts to boil.
  3. Stir it to make sure it’s really boiling and not just sending bubbles to the top.
  4. Put the meatballs back into the pan with the tomato sauce. Cover slightly with a lid or a splatter screen to keep the sauce from splattering.
  5. Cook on low heat for 30 minutes, turning the meatballs now and then. The meatballs will be soft, and the sauce will get thicker. As the sauce is almost done, add chopped fresh basil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
