  1. Heat 2 tablespoons groundnut oil in a pan.
  2. Slice and fry an onion in oil.
  3. Chili and ginger should be chopped and added to the pan. Add crushed garlic and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Stir in chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, and sugar. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and tomato puree. Continue cooking for a few minutes.
  6. Blend the sauce until smooth in a blender.
