Yes,today, we have more muffins. 😯

    These are sweet.

These very delicious and gooey muffins are similar the classic monkey bread. If you aren’t familiar.. monkey bread is a bread that is made up small pieces of dough, but, then, is baked with all the small pieces of dough in a one large loaf. So, together you are one large loaf of bread, but, you can pick out the smaller pieces, one by one, when eating it.

Kinda, like, well, a monkey would eat something. 🤷 🐒

These are a little different, because, instead of making one large bread, we have 12 muffins.

You start with a package of Pillsbury Grand Refrigerated Biscuits.

Cut each biscuit into 6 pieces and coat them in a simple cinnamon sugar mixture, then, add them into your muffin pan. Finally, drench them with a seriously amazing caramel sauce and bake.

A really simple dessert that make a huge impression!

We love our monkey bread around here and these are a new family favorite. They were literally gone within about an hour of me baking them. I kid you not.

Give these Monkey Bread Muffins a try and make them your family’s favorite too!

Disclosure: I received complementary coupons from Pillsbury/General Mills as part of their #PillsburyPartner program. As always, all opinions are my own.

All the delicious tastes of the classic monkey bread packed into a fun muffin!

    Ingredients

    FOR MUFFINS:

    FOR CARAMEL TOPPING:

    • 2/3 cup brown sugar
    • 1/4 cup ( 4 TBSP), butter
    • 2 tsp water

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Generously grease a 6 count muffin pan.
    2.  In a bowl, mix together sugar and ground cinnamon.
    3. Remove 8 biscuits from package and cut each biscuits into 6 pieces.
    4. Coat each piece of dough into cinnamon/sugar mixture. Then, place 8 pieces of dough into each muffin cup.

    TO MAKE CARAMEL:

    1.  In a saucepan, melt butter with brown sugar and water until dissolved. Increase temperature slightly and let mixture come to a boil. Let it boil, stirring constantly until sugar is compltey dissolved. This should only take about 2 minutes.
    2. Reserve approx 3-4 TBSP of caramel sauce and set aside.
    3. Drizzle remaining caramel sauce on top of dough pieces.
    4. Bake 12-15 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown and cooked thoroughly.
    5. Serve warm muffins with remaining caramel sauce.

    Notes

    • The caramel sauce may overflow from the muffin pan. To save your oven from a mess, place your muffin pan on top of a flat rimmed baking sheet to catch any caramel sauce that may drizzle over.
    • Be sure to grease your pan VERY WELL. These are a bit sticky and it will make removal easier.
