Turkey Bagel Melt with Honey Dijon Spread: Table for Seven

Waaayy back in day ( about 2002), I used to work at a “real job”  What I mean is, I got dressed every morning, commuted to an office, worked at a very unexciting desk job, then, went home at 5pm.  Not too thrilling, but, hey, it paid the bills. Then came lots of kids and eventually, taking picture of food in my pj’s..much better 🙂

Anyway, in the building where I worked, there was a deli on the first floor.  My favorite sandwich to get for lunch was a broiled turkey melt. Crisp to the crunch, and loaded with Swiss cheese. It was so darn good.

Well, since, lunch is now at home, we are servin’ up the turkey melts here. Pretty similar to my old favorite, except mine at home have a tangy/sweet honey Dijon spread on them. Really fab stuff.

The recipe below makes just one sandwich.  However, making a bigger batch for your whole family is quite simple.  It’s just three ingredients, so, make whatever size serving you need.
Also, if you aren’t keen on using your broiler, you can use your oven.  Just put in them in a preheated 400 degree oven and bake for 7-10 minutes.

Perfect lunch or make a great dinner when you just don’t feel like cooking.
