Total Time 4 hours

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb boneless chicken breast (about 3-4 breasts) cut into slices
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 envelope .7 or .8 oz dry Italian dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt 2 TBSP butter.
  2. Salt/pepper chicken, then, coat pieces in flour.
  3. Add in hot skillet with melted butter. Be sure not to overcrowd the pan.
  4. Cooking the chicken in two separate batches works best. Use the remaining 2 TBSP butter for the second batch of chicken pieces.
  5. Do not cook the chicken completely. Just cook each side for about 5 minutes to brown.
  6. Add browned chicken into crock pot.
  7. Pour remaining ingredients over chicken (lemon juice, dressing mix, broth).
  8. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours

Notes

  • cooking time includes browning of chicken
