    Do you remember when I told you when the kids started school that I started eating healthier?  Yeah, that didn’t really last long.  I made these and that whole concept kinda just fell off to the wayside.

    Every time, I ate one of these, a little voice said ” oh..just wait until January..then, start cutting off the sweets “.

    I mean, with Thanksgiving, then, Christmas, then, New Years..seriously, why even put myself through the stress of it, right?  Just enjoy myself!  I will probably be regretting that decision in January when it time to buckle down, but, for now, there are these brownies. 🙂

    Peppermint and chocolate!

     These are a dream. If you don’t want peppermint overload, omit the frosting, they are just has heavenly without it.

    Peppermint Patty Brownies with Peppermint Frosting

    Cook Time: 00:30
    Ingredients (Serves: 10-12)

      FOR BROWNIES

      • your favorite brownie recipe for 9 x 13 pan of brownies (boxed or homemade)
      • 1 bag of mini Peppermint Patties

      FOR FROSTING

      • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
      • 4 cups powder sugar
      • 2 tsp peppermint extract
      • 1 stick butter, softened
      Instructions

      FOR BROWNIES

      Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 9 x 13 pan with non stick cooking spray. Mix brownie ingredients as desired.
      Pour 1/2 the batter on to the bottom of the pan.
      Place Peppermint Patties on top of brownie batter.
      Pour remaining batter oven patties.
      Bake for 30-35 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.
      Let brownies cool completely before frosting.

      FOR FROSTING

      Beat all ingredients until well combine. Frost on cooled brownies.
