Copycat Chili’s Salsa

Copycat Chili’s Salsa is an easy, adaptable salsa with the great taste from Chili’s restaurant!

Ever since discovering this recipe a few years back, store bought salsa is a thing of the past for us. The taste is much better and it saves us some money. Why buy the jar?

This salsa tastes great (it really does taste like the stuff from Chili’s!), but, it is also easily adaptable.

I use canned tomatoes, but, of course, fresh will also work perfect. In a pinch, I’ve also used dried onion flakes instead of a fresh onion too. Works like a charm. Below, is the recipe that I use, but, you can add/subtract the ingredients to fit your taste.

Copycat Chli's Salsa from Table for Seven

An easy, adaptable salsa with the great taste from Chili’s restaurant!

Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes


  • 28 oz can of whole tomatoes, drained
  • 1 small yellow onion, chopped
  • 1/2 small can of jalapenos
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 TBSP sugar
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1/2 garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt


  1. Add all ingredients in blender or food processor and mix until desired consistency is reached.
    Cover and refrigerate for about an hour before serving.
